SF Dining - 10 years later....

mageel | Jan 15, 200804:34 AM

Hi SF Chowhounders-

I lived in SF a little more than 10 years ago when I packed up my car and drove across the country from Baltimore to follow the love of my life to SF. He is now my husband and we are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary!!!! We thought it would be fitting to celebrate in San Francisco.

We absolutely ate our way through SF in the almost 2 years we lived there. Neither of us have been back since we left, so we are so excited to eat our way through the city again in April, but we have no idea what the dining scene is like now.

Here is what I want to know.....

1. Your recommendations for some incredible dinners. Money is no object (we have free airfare and hotel!), so let me know your favorites.
2. Also need some good recommendations for breakfast or brunch one day, lunches and we definitely want the best Dim Sum SF has to offer.

I have not booked the hotel yet, so if anyone has suggestions on that end as well, please let me know. We are open to staying in any area of the city. We used to live on Nob Hill (Clay and Taylor) so I was thinking the Fairmont or Intercontinental (if they are still there!).

Also, we frequented the Nob Hill Cafe a lot as it was literally around the corner from our apt. Does anyone know if it still exists? If so, we'll probably make a trip there since we had so many fun, weeknight meals there.

Thank you all in advance for your suggestions. I can't wait for our trip!!!
