In an article in the September 11th New York Times, there's an article "Does the Truth Lie Within?: One professor's lifetime of self-experimentation," which descries the diet experiment of Professor Seth Roberts. Since people post questions here about diets, I thought this might be of interest.
Thinking that the body has the equivalent of an internal balance, he tricks the balance with a few spoonfuls of oil. It sounds unlikely, but apparently works. Has anyone here tried it?
