We were given a bottle and I'm stumped with what to serve for dinner to go along with since I've never tried this type of wine. Here's the stumper--can't have meat. Well, it could have meat if the dish can also stand on its own sans meat. I'm thinking something like a cassoulet where the meat is cooked in the dish but the pork could be pulled out for those not wanting to partake of the pig. Would that work? Since its Italian is there a pasta dish that would work well?
