Had an impromptu dinner with a foodie friend at Sequel tonight. Food was surprisingly great ( delicious and beautifully presented - ladies' touch may be, since both executive chefs were female!) and the price was equally amazing. 3 slabs of seared foie gras for $17.50 and Rack of venison for only $28! In addition, we also ordered the scallops three ways and the seared sea bream. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Imaginative and tasty sides include squid ink ravioli with lobster stuffing, a very buttery spinach and egg flan and mashed banana/sweet potato puree. For dessert, the flourless chocolate cake was heavenly. With 3 glasses of 7oz wine, total bill including tax comes to only $141!! Amazing or what?!
