My husband and I received a NESCO "American Harvest" Snackmaster Express Food Dehydrator and Jerky Maker with extra trays. He's convinced it's not useful and is going to take up too much storage space. Neither of us is really jazzed about making beef jerky or homemade prunes. The only thing that springs to mind is homemade fruit roll-ups----which themselves can be made in the oven.
What do you think? Keep or give away? If you have one, what do you use it for? Any unusual applications I might be missing? Drying herbs?
