Seeking stuffed challah

Sandi in Wrigleyville | Sep 7, 2004 12:03 PM

I've been getting stuffed challah at Judy's Bakery in Evanston for the High Holidays. You could buy round loaves with apples and honey and nuts (even though the very religious do not eat nuts on the holidays because the letters in Hebrew equal the word"sin"). Anyway, as I understand it, Judy's is wholesale only. Does anyone know of a good place to get similar? I just bought a rustica round apple loaf from Whole Foods in Lakeview, and the inside was all gummy.
