I'm actually on my way to Philadelphia in a couple of hours - will be attending a concert tonight, spending the night and (unfortunately) leaving pretty early tomorrow. I'm bummed about not getting to hang out longer, so I want to try to get in a good meal or two to help make the trip worthwhile. Expect to arrive around 7 p.m., staying at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza at 17 and Race (yay Priceline!) Show's at the Electric Factory, something like 7th and Willow. Would like to find a fun place for dinner between the two, if possible. Tastes are slightly eclectic but would, in general, prefer a cafe-type atmosphere with a variety of good, contemporary American food (my friend will probably just want a salad.) Low-key and affordable will go hand in hand. Pluses could be a funky atmosphere or crowd (though I don't know if we're in the right part of town.)
That's my biggest concern, but a good breakfast in the morning (before 10, no time to linger) would be welcome too. I'm thinking about just heading over to the Market. Is that the right idea?
Any suggestions appreciated...
