Secret Newport Beach Waterfront

I would like to suggest that if you are a member of any American Legion Post and happen to be in the Newport Beach area a great place for lunch is the American Legion at 215 E. 15th St. in Newport Beach. It is on the bay and when the weather is nice there is a nice patio with tables and umbrellas where reasonable priced lunch is served. A Swedish couple runs the meal service and I love their burger with blue cheese. They also serve dinner but I can't recall the nights they are open. I believe this can change when there are special events or the dining room is rented. You can call at 949 673 5070 for hours etc. There is a full bar (watch out for the strong pours). They also have a burn your own burger on the weekend (Sundays?) The boats go right off the patio and the view equals the Balboa Bay Club or Newport Harbor Yacht Club for a whole lot less price. Again you have to be a member of any American Legion Post to get in.
