I am a sucker. After all the hype this place received from a food critic and food boards, we went there. We tried the hot pot. Big mistake. The ingredients were not good. Sadly, you could actually tell. The spicy side of the pot was certainly spicy, but lacking any other flavor. We could have made a much better hot pot at home -- a lot cheaper with much better ingredients. My advice is if you must try this place, stay far away from the hot pot. Go for the combination dishes instead where you can get 1 for $6, 3 for $17, 5 for $26(?).
Oh, the service was NON-EXISTENT, even by Chinese restaurant standards. Glasses weren't re-filled. Base for the hot pot wasn't re-filled. Worst yet, we weren't even full after this whole disaster. Given how the meal went, that shouldn't be a surprise but it was. It reminded me of my experience at Broadway Grill. The food was awful but at least we were all full.
