Had a great longish weekend in Seattle with a few dining experiences culled from the posts on this board. Here are some highlights:
Afternoon drinks outside at Maggie Bluffs - the artichoke/crab dip was fine; it was happy hour so the wine was cheap; but the view and sitting outside in the beautiful weather made it a great welcome to Seattle.
Dinner at Pair: great gnocchi and butter lettuce salad. A wonderful place to share small plates of yummy food. No wonder the clientele were mostly women.
Breakfast at Sunflour: delicious smoked salmon scramble for me and tillamook cheddar cheese omelet for my sister. Nice menu selection and relaxed atmosphere.
Pho at Pho Cyclo: I am a pho addict and pho cyclo's is absolutely delicious, got a large and packed the remainder to go so I could have some every day. Love the green chopstick and the broth.
Drinks at Purple in Kirkland: Wonderful wine selections and the flights looked fun. Nice place inside as long as you do not face both parking lots.
Dinner at Restaurant Zoe: My sister had an amazing artichoke salad and pork. I had a lovely green salad and sauteed flounder. A terrific dining experience - friendly service, cool decor, and terrific people watching.
Drinks at Garage in Capitol Hill: House wine is nasty, but fun to sit outside and think of Eddie Vedder.
More pho from Than Bros: What can I say? I am an addict - broth may be even better than cyclo.
Again, thanks for all of the postings that I read that helped us make decisions.
I think my sister deliberately kept me from Salumi and Matt's so that I am guaranteed to return - soon.
