Can a Seared Brisket be Sliced and then Cooked in a Crockpot

lukfam | Nov 19, 201408:44 PM

I am having company for a meal and I'd like to serve a brisket. I would prefer to slice it before my company arrives so I'm not rushing at the last minute. I am wondering if I could sear the brisket, slice it, (essentially the interior meat will be raw), and then place it in the crockpot to cook.
