In search of Hong Kong style pastry

I have visited numerous Chinese bakeries in Chinatown and failed to find this particularly delicious pastry
that I had in Hong Kong. It is called "sha yung" and it
is basically a puffy fried dough covered with sugar.

There are a few bakeries that claimed to sell them but
they turned out to be sugar donuts, which sha yung is
not. The only thing they have in common is that both of them are golden brown. Sha yung is supposed to be filled with air (almost like the puffy Indian poori bread) but it is amorphous, almost ameboid.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to find authetic Hong Kong style "Sha Yung" in NYC?

Thank you very much in advance.
