My family will be visiting Manhattan from the SF Bay Area in October. We want to eat some great food, but need to go to restaurants that can accommodate two fairly well-behaved four year olds. We'll be staying at 7th avenue and 56th street and will also spend time in The Village and will go to the Met, the Natural History Museum and the Cloisters. We would like to go to one fairly nice restaurant one evening with my husband's parents and aunt (near 7th and 56th), but are happy to eat in small diners or delis the remainder of the time (particularly after museum visits). Also, my kids don't need traditional "kids menu" fare, such as grilled cheese, on the menu. They've always eaten "adult" food and we all love asian, middle eastern, indian food, etc. We're far more interested in restaurants that serve really great (particularly seasonal) food than anything marketed for kids. Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
