We went to the SeaHorse Tavern in Noank last Saturday night - Hadn’t been there in over a year. Last year I was a little disappointed in the gentrification of what had always been my favorite less-than-no frills restaurant. But I’d been holding on to a Christmas gift certificate and it was time to use it.
It was the end of an absolutely gorgeous spring day and Spicer’s Marina was full of people. Many of them probably in from a day on the water. The SeaHorse was full, but we had only a short wait.
My wife splurged and had seared scallops with two small beef filet mignons. She thought that the scallops were super sweet and the beef was grilled exactly as ordered. Her dish was accompanied by fresh green beans, which were also very good. I had shrimp scampi over linguini. The shrimp were gigantic and the sauce was very garlicky. I enjoyed my dinner, too. We’ll return.
