a bad experience. you know what they say about customers who encounter a bad experience? its been statistically measured that customers who are treated badly tell an average of SEVEN other people about that bad experience. consider yourself one of the seven. you've been warned !
MY FAMILY & I WENT THERE TO CELEBRATE A BIRTHDAY AND AFTER WANTING TO VISIT THE ESTABLISHMENT FOR MONTHS. IT LOOKED LIKE A FUN PLACE. THE IDEA OF SEAFOOD WAS VERY APPEALING.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE FIRST PROBLEM WAS THAT THE WAITRESS WAS ABOUT AS INTERESTED IN PERFORMING HER DUTIES AS A ROCK. SHE HAD TO FORCE HERSELF TO SMILE AND THAT WAS SO OBVIOUS THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER HAD SHE JUST KEPT HER USUAL STONE FACE.
SECOND, WE ORDERED A SALAD. WHEN IT DIDN'T COME UNTIL WE WERE NEARLY DONE WITH OUR MEAL, WE GOT HER ATTENTION AND NOTED THAT WE HAD NOT RECEIVED OUR SALAD. SHE JUST SAID, "OH. DO YOU STILL WANT IT?" (NO APOLOGY.)
WHEN THE SALAD CAME, IT WAS A VERY BAD SALAD. THE KIND YOU BUY FROM THE STORE IN THE PLASTIC BAG, PRE MADE, IS BETTER THAN WHAT WE RECEIVED.
THE FISH THAT WE ORDERED WAS OVER SEASONED TO THE POINT WHERE MOST PEOPLE WHO HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE WOULD LIKELY HAVE PASSED ON IT DUE TO THE HIGH SODIUM LEVEL. ( IT WAS THE "SPECIAL" TONIGHT).
I ASKED THE BUSBOY IF WE COULD HAVE ANOTHER HELPING OF BREAD ( THE ONE THEY PROVIDE WHEN YOU FIRST ARE SEATED WAS SMALL). HE SAID, 'YES.' OF COURSE, YOU GUESSED IT... WE NEVER GOT OUR BREAD. AND HE NEVER CAME BACK TO APOLOGIZE EITHER.
THE WAITRESS WAS LIKE THIS TO OTHER DINERS AS WELL. IT WASN'T JUST US. THE ENTIRE STAFF SEEMED TO HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE.
TO TOP IT OFF, THE MEAL WORKED OUT TO ABOUT $35 PER PERSON. A BIT STEEP CONSIDERING THE LOW QUALITY FOOD AND POOR SERVICE.
IF ANY PERSON, INCLUDING THE OWNER OF THE RESTURANT HAPPENS TO READ THIS, JUST REMEMBER. ITS MY OPINION AND I'M ENTITLED TO IT. THIS CAN BE VIEWED AS A RESTURANT REVIEW FOR THE PUBLIC.
MY RECOMMENDATION: SKIP THE SEAFOOD PEDDLER IN SAN RAFAEL. ITS OVERPRICED. THE FOOD IS LESS THAN AVERAGE. AND THE STAFF HAS A POOR ATTITUDE. THEY NEED TO CLEAN UP THEIR ACT.
WE TIPPED THE WAITRESS HER 20% EVEN THOUGH WE FELT SHE EARNED ZERO. BUT WE WON'T EAT THERE AGAIN. TO THE OWNERS OF THAT PLACE, I SAY BITE ME.
