Over the last couple of months, I have driven by the Water Grill every morning on my way to work and again in the evening, staring over the cafe curtains to see the seafood on display. I have actually stopped by the place on a whim, determined to finally try it, but it was closed as it was after 1030pm. I have gone elsewhere for seafood, with some good places, but still had visions of the wonders that I hear the place produces. I have even gone to International Marine Products on San Pedro and 7th to buy incredibly fresh oysters and crab and tuna and cooked it (or eaten it raw) to deal with the seafood angst..but alas I still think of the WG. So, ive decided to make a reservation next week and take the SO.
I need your help. WHat are your recommendations for meal there? I need to include raw oysters somehow someway, other than that I am open to suggestions for both food and wine/champagne pairings.
