Sea Harbor Restaurant - Rowland Heights

54 | Aug 3, 200303:32 AM

Last night, the two of us went to Sea Harbor Restaurant in Rowland Heights (same ownership as Rosemead location) for dinner. Upon being seated, the headwaiter informed us that the seafood selection was not plentiful that evening. He suggested Crystal Crab, Dungeness Crab or Lobster and stated that, if we wanted fish, he would get a fresh selection from the adjacent Ranch 99 Market.

We shared one order of the following: Shark’s Fin Soup w/Pig’s Knuckle (xlnt - $54); Braised Shark’s Fin Soup in Papaya (xlnt - $20); Shrimp Fried Rice w/Abalone Sauce (good - $13); Whole Steamed Tiger Cod Fish – 2 lbs (good - $78). In addition, I had a bottle of Tsing Tao beer (very good). There was a small condiment bowl brought to our table filled with a mix of cooked peanuts and beans (good). The complimentary dessert was a dish of melon and Jell-O (good). The only item we ordered that was menu-priced was the Shrimp Fried Rice w/Abalone Sauce. All other selections were market price. The service was very good.

Tab before tip = $179.
