Looking for screwpine/pandan leaves

CrazyC | Feb 5, 200401:12 PM

I have never seen this in the US, but given the influx of asian ingredients being found recently, I thought I would give it a shot.

Screwpine (Gary, pdaane... behave yourselves) is a long green leaf that is used in Malaysian and Singapore cooking. We use it in cakes, jello, and chicken wings... You might have seen it at Penang in their chicken wing appetizer. We call it Pandan at home, but I guess it is known as Screwpine here in the US.

Anybody seen it before?
