Scrambled eggs with ketchup - how strange/common is this?

Liz CT | Jul 3, 200512:29 PM     88

I grew up enjoying scrambled eggs with a little bit of ketchup, as this was how my mom always ate them. But now we both find ourselves sharing stories of meeting people who react to the combination with shock and horror. Most people I've mentioned it to make a face and state that it's a combination they have never heard of or considered before.

I found this very surprising. Is this a combination that is generally only found in certain parts of the US? Is it something associated more with a certain generation, and is now out of style? Or is it just a really unusual combination?
