Scott's NY Deli (Binghamton)

I've tried this new restaurant, located in suburban Vestal, several times. A "kosher" deli is something that Binghamton has lacked since Kaplan's (in what was then called Vestal Plaza) closed over 20 years ago.

The food, both eat-in and take-out, is excellent. I've tried several main courses and have been very pleased. The grilled Hebrew National hot dogs are the best I've had in Binghamton but at $2.19 they're certainly also the most expensive. (In fact, down the block at Sam's Club, JUMBO Hebrew National hot dogs are $1.50 - however, the flavor is not the same.)

The cole slaw is excellent, as are the other side dishes that I've tried.

The service has been courteous but slow. There appears to be a computer-based ordering system which may, so far, be slowing things down.

The only real negative is the very high prices (by Binghamton standards). The Binghamton area has so much good food to choose from at great prices!
