F Scotts

I posted this in response to another message, and thought I should also post it with F Scotts as a subject.

We were in Nashville last week, returning from a trip to Seattle. We took the opportunity to spend the night before heading home. We had a wonderful "bargan after nine" meal at F Scotts. Yukon Gold ravioli with a lobster sauce (nice large pieces of lobster) on a bed of corn puree. The ravioli melted in my mouth. The jazz was also good.

I worried that the service would be lacking, since there is a 50% reduction on food after nine. The service was wonderful. And, as planned, I tipped well, based on the price before the reduction. But, the staff never know what to expect. I have had some less than satisfactory service at bargan meals.

My wife's dish was less well received. Wolf fish, encrusted with toasted almonds, in a (?honey) burbon sauce. The dish was much sweeter than expected, picking up less of the burbon than hoped.

BTW, I did share my dish equally with my wife.
