Scotch Bonnet (West Indian Restaurant), I'm impressed

This place is relatively new, and has some great West Indian food. The Cha Cha Chicken is tangy and flavorful. I have never had the Meringue Beef since they are always out fo it, but the curry beef was very flavorful. The peas and rice is good as well. I was using teh dumplings to sop up the gravy today. They also have a variety of Roti, which I haven't tried yet.

They have a variety of fresh fruit juice concoctions, and ginger beer, but don't have a liquor license yet.

Their lunch special is $5.95, and dinner is $10-13.

It is at 32 West 31st street, Between 5th and broadway. (212) 594-7575.

BTW, somebody explain to me how they have a happy hour without alcohol. Hmmmmm

Oh, they don't have soda. Yeah, I know, I should drink ginger beer.
