Scandia marzipan, buttercream cake

Someone, somewhere, must have the recipe for the white marzipan buttercream cake that Scandia - in Los Angeles - used to make. It was always on the dessert cart, and you could special-order the whole cake, which we often did, for birthdays. (Their apple cake is everywhere, but that's not the one I'm looking for.) It's somewhat similar to a Princess cake, but had straight sides, non-colored marzipan, and less whipped cream.
