Sawtell Kitchen for Home Cooking

WLA | Jul 3, 200210:37 AM     2

Well, in a home in Japan anyway. We go about once a week and I am never dissapointed. We always sit outside, the inside is just to cave like and stark for my tastes. Last night I had the Tonkatsu, but this time they were doing it with pork tenderloin which was juicy and tender. Very nice cabbage and potato salads sides, along with steamed Japanese rice for $8.95. Wife had large fresh deep fried shrimp with curry sauce and rice. Price the same. We also usually start with a small green salad and a bowl of miso soup. No beer or wine, but lots of folks bring their own. The patio is very nice, just a little car noise. Then across the street and a few feet to the north is the Giant Robot store for retro Japanese toys and t-shirts.
