Less than Savoury Experience at Scomas

weipanlan | Jul 29, 200209:00 PM

I went to Scomas with slight hesitation, considering it is located in Fishermans Wharfe, and my initial reservations were confirmed by the evening's repasts..I ordered Pacific Snapper in lemon butter. It arrived hard and overcooked, without evidence of lemon butter on the plate. It was served with a side of overcooked (packet frozen) veggies and macaroni. This was followed by an oversweetened creme caramel accompanied by obviously fake can whipped cream. For the price I would say that it is worthwhile to visit the place for its ambience as an old SFO institution, just to say you have done that, but not for the food.
