Sauteed frog legs at Truc, South End, Boston

Not common outside chinatown.....

Surprisingly tender and juicy bite sized cubes of frog legs glisten with a luxuriant oily coat. An earthy tang from bits of darks olives and acidic bites from capers. Beneath, the warmth of artichoke puree. A great appetizer. My only regret: not ordering a dry white to go with it (I'm guessing an Alsatian riesling would have been perfect.)

BTW, the rabbit rilettes with foie gras terrine is also a winner, but that was another dinner.
