My family is coming to town in June and I've been charged with finding a restaurant at which to have a Saturday lunch. There will be 13 to 16 people, so size and ability to accomodate a large group on a Saturday is one factor. Included in the group will be two children ages three and six who are well-mannered but still behave and act like children. And, my grandmother (the one footing the bill) would like the meal to be a French-influenced lunch, not brunch, if possible.
After doing some research, I thought that a meal in Provence's garden might work. But was I wrong. The responses from family members ranged from "it's too breakfasty with not enough lunch options" to "there's not enough child-friendly offerings" to "there's only one meat selection on the whole menu".
So, Chowhounds, I now leave it up to you. Besides finding a new family, which I've thought about, do you have any other helpful advide? Thanks in advance.
