Got a monkey wrench thrown into my plans. I was saving Gagnaire for Sunday evening thus leaving me time for other restaurants Saturday, Monday, Tuesday. However, Gagnaire is closed the weekend of and weekend after Easter and I just happen to be in town the weekend after.
I have Frenchie for Monday and Spring for Tuesday. Those too would be impossible to change.
This leaves me deciding between L'Ambroisie and Guy Savoy for my 3 star. Which would offer the highest high for a first time diner...highs as high as Gagnaire or as close to Gagnaire's highs if possible. Which has a better wine list both in terms of price and selection?
