Sardine roe

Bought a few fresh Monterey sardines at Sun Fat this afternoon. On gutting one of them, I noticed it had quite a few roe sacs inside. I ended up setting them aside,then dredging them in flour and salt and sauteeing in a little oil, but is there anything else one typically does with these?

(could have posted this in Home Cooking, but since fresh sardines are such a local specialty I figured I'd leave it here for now)
