Tried Sarajevo Cebabdzinica tonight, partially because of the kudos given by the hounds. The food was pretty good, but the pleasure was obscured by the horrible service. When we first arrived the woman that took our order was pleasant, but didn't speak english. We managed to communicate well enough to place our order. She brought our food in what we thought was an odd sequence, and didn't offer drinks. We took a bottle from the cooler, and she opened it, but did not offer a glass or straw. It was downhill from there. Several parties of Bosnians arrived. It was as if we had donned our invisibility cloak. We wanted dessert, but couldn't capture her attention. After a long fruitless wait, with our server avoiding eye contact we asked for the check. We were ignored while she cooked for, served, and shmoozed with the Bosnians. Finally we walked up to the counter and demanded and paid the check.
Is this normal for this place? Has anyone had a similar experience?
