Finally made it to Sapp on Saturday. Pretty good sized crowd at 2:45-ish. Only a couple of tables available and I was the only caucasian in the place. Ordered the Beef Boat Noodles Soup (thick noodles) with meatballs. I also looked over the appetizer menu and ordered the Deep Fried Dried Pork. Dried pork came out first - served with a vinegary (tart) sricha sauce - absolutely fabulous. Really different tasting (the thought of it is making my mouth water!). Then the soup came out. What a delicious broth!! Deep condensed flavor, tender beef and noodles, bean sprouts, and interesting meatballs (I would like to know what kind of meat that is - it reminds me of the meat called Vietnamese Ham in the Bahn Me at Pho 79). Wow. What a great meal! I left there a happy, happy girl. Total bill around $13 with tip. Thank you fellow 'hounds!
