This morning the San Francisco Police Department Central District notified merchants to prepare for possible civil unrest with the upcoming verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial. Suggestions include boarding up windows and protecting restaurant parklets from damage or pieces of them being used as weapons.

According to the NY Times, defense testimony is expected to continue through the end of the week and closing arguments could be as early as Monday. The jury then can take as long as it needs to reach a verdict.
