San Diego Summer Pops question.

Hi all,

Four of us are coming to San Diego this Thursday for a 2 night stay. On the first evening we will dine at George's at The Cove (thanx Jim for the recommendation). Our second evening we will be at the outdoor Summer Pops, and I'm told that we have a lovely table, near the stage. My question of course has to do with food. Here in Los Angeles, I always prepare a ridiculously lavish picnic to tote along to the bowl. I've yet to have a really good dinner from the caterering department at the Hollywood bowl, but perhaps San Diego is different. Is the best choice to order off of a menu that was faxed to me from the event? The W Hotel told me that they would happily make a picnic to bring, and the concierge also suggested a brand new gourmet specialty store (next to the Underground Coffee Shop), quite near the hotel, that might be the way to go. Just wondering if there are places that might specialize in unique dinners that can be taken along. Any help would be greatly appreciated. So far I'm clear on one tasty---I'm told that "Extraordinary Desserts" is----Extraordinary!
Cheers,
Jeff
