The Chowhounds of San Diego got together for a banquet 10 course meal at China Max. Many of the regulars were there as well as some first timers. The food was served in a timely fashion, very good service, the company was very friendly and interesting. The Lamb chops with pepper sauce was their signature dish and was a hit. It was extrememly tender and had a subtle hint of pepper with a great but not overpowering sauce. The shrimp cruller with chives was outstanding as was the crab although just a tiny bit overcooked. I will let some of the diners tell you what dishes they enjoyed and I was pleased that we had new faces to enjoy the meal with us. There will be some pictures from the party as soon as Dawnie gets them downloaded. I had a very nice time and looking forward to more events and parties in the future.
