Staying in San Antonio for a few days next week - on Crestwind, just east of I-35. I probably won't have a car - and based on my first impression I probably won't be spending too much time with the business colleague I'm meeting up with down there either!
When I look at a map, it looks like there's a bunch of restaurant choices on 1976 (Walzem Road), but it looks like a lot of fast food as well as a few names that may or may not have some promise: Barnicle Bills, Cristans Tacos, El Compa, Bill Millers BBQ.
Is this a safe place to be walking around? Anything within walking distance that's worth the trip? Or what's within a reasonable cab fare that's reasonably priced (say $20-25 w/tax and tip for dinner) might be worth a trip?
