Salads at Craft Bar

Just returned from dinner with 5 friends at Craft Bar. As ever, I came away with very positive feelings, but I've yet to have a single entree there that I found exceptional. Whenever I veer from salads, vegetables, sandwiches, appetizers, or risotto (none of the other pastas I've tried have been standouts), I experience the "ehh" reaction (tonight it was the veal ricotta stuffed meatballs that were perfectly fine but underwhelming.

But I sampled two salads that were extraordinary. One is always available, a frisee salad with gorgonzola and lardons. Impeccable ingredients dressed perfectly -- this might be the only restaurant I've ever visited where the dressing is always perfect. The beets with horseradish creme fraiche was the dish of the night, a spectacular combination. The creme fraiche tasted like a soft, seasoned goat cheese -- lush and delicate at the same time.

Next time, I'll probably go back for a salad and sandwich, maybe some roasted vegetables on the side.
Anyone have an entree that was a real standout at Craft Bar?
