Went for the bacon brunch today and was very disappointed. The first course, bacon sampler was the worst. The three bacon strips were burnt to a crisp. The cheddar biscuit and bacon marmalade were tasty, but burnt bacon is not a good start.

The second course, I had the Mac and cheese which was mediocre. But you would expect bacon to be a major component. Not really, there was a decent amount of bacon, but it seemed to just be added at the end. My wife had the breakfast pizza, which was pretty tasty. It was bacon, creme fraiche and caramelized onions. Again, the bacon seemed to take a back seat.

The bacon brownie was the highlight of the meal. Very nice balance of sweet and salty, and the whipped cream was very nice.

Service was mediocre and pretty rushed. I will try again since I should have sent back the burnt bacon which set a bad tone for the meal. The other choices for main course were a BLT or a grilled cheese with bacon. Those probably would be more bacon focused than what we had.
