Help! A guest (a hunter whom I do not know) presented me with a frozen leg of venison from a deer he had bagged. I was thrilled! Took it out of the freezer yesterday to thaw, forgot it and left it out on the counter overnight. Well, it's thawed except possibly for the center. My son is visiting tomorrow and we love to cook. Were going to braise this leg of venison -- something new. IS THE MEAT SAFE TO EAT? Also, any advice re methods of preparation or recipes for leg of venison. I'm going to cook and eat it unless some of you feel strongly that eating it would be stupid.
