I had a late night last night, and the last thing I did before bed was put a whole chicken in the crock pot with veggies, etc. to make chicken soup. But, I forgot to plug it in. And, perhaps even more concerning is that instead of just cold water, I used 6 cups of chicken soup base that I had heated in the microwave prior to pouring into the crock pot and then added about 6 cups of tap water to that to cover the bird -so I am guessing it started out at slightly higher than room temps, and then sat there all night soaking in that media prime for bacterial growth. If it cooks all day today (my crock pot gets pretty hot and actually simmers at the edges) any chance it will be safe to eat?
