Sacher torte help please

tweetie | Jul 8, 202001:38 PM     17

My neighbor came over with a gift of 2 slices of a purchased Sacher torte. I have a feeling I am not alone when I confess that I suffer from "I can make that and probably make it better" syndrome. I'd like to return the favor with a homemade version . I've searched the internet but Chowhounds are always my default. Some recipes like Mary Berry's , have no flour only almond meal. Others cake flour. Still others, a combination. Help me choose!

I look forward to your recipes, advice, suggestions and hints.

Thanks
