The BF and I once again had a wonderful dinner at Corduroy last night. The full menu is available with a few up-charges. He started off with the Local Tomato Salad, he is nuts about tomatoes and loved it. I had the lobster salad (+5), which was nice and cool given the weather. We split a yummy bottle of Dr. Loosens 2002 Riesling, recommended by our waiter who made great suggestions all night. For mains I had the Sea Scallops w/chanterelle sauce. The mashed potatoes served with it were divine. The BF had the Seared Peppered Tuna w/sushi rice and huiki (sp?) which was declared very good. Desert brought me the local blueberry tart and vanilla ice cream with a glass of sauternes and he had the Chocolate tart w/caramelized banana and chocolate ice cream with a glass of port (?).
The service was attentive and never made to feel like RW interlopers; this admirable trait must come from being a hotel establishment. In fact our waiter, I believe the headwaiter, remembered us from the last time. The restaurant was busy at 6:30 but was calm as we left. Bill came to $120 + taxes. Well worth it. They are extending RW into next week.
