RW: To go, or not to go?

Amanda | Jan 8, 2004 03:50 PM

I need your help!

I've heard mixed things for years now about RW -- sometimes good, sometimes bad, and sometimes, really bad. Tosca I heard was one of the better places to go, along with another place that's just slipped my mind -- New Heights?

Anyways, I have never been out during RW, but was thinking that I might like to try some of those out-of-reach places on my list this time. Just so you know: I am not in the most healthy state financially right now (full-time student; part-time admin. asst.) I can't afford to splurge on the Citronelles of the world at this time (someday ... DEEP SIGH) but I have always tried to set aside some money to spend on my favorite hobby.

A couple of days ago I was talking with a colleague at work, who ate out twice last RW; she made a wavy hand gesture when I asked if she enjoyed herself. She went to Equinox and Melrose, I think was what she said.

Today, at lunch, I'm flipping through the City Paper and what do I see? A very funny but very critical look at RW in their Young and Hungry column. Their critic seems to think it's not really worth it.

So I ask you: To go or not to go?
