Unexpectledly dined at the Hingham location last night. I had never been there. What a happy surprise! Service was terrific (so much so we felt compelled to inform MOD). Room was beautiful. Food was outragously tasty.
We started with oysters. Very fresh and with the perfect flavor of the sea--would like to own the shelffish tray it was served in, too! Sadly, my handy cleptomaniac pal was absent ;).
I had the roasted half B&E chciken: tender, moist and succulent, served wtih asparagus and smashed yukon gold potatoes. While lots on the menu appealed to me, this fit with the healthy choices I've been trying to make of late. And while quite healthy, it was still exceptionally flavorfull and perfectly cooked. DCs liked the leg and thigh (of the bird!) that I "forked over", Overall a great meal. Others had the butternut squash mezzeluna pasta, shrimp spaghettini, and a burger--they each loved them. I did not sample, but trust their judgement as to deliciousness.
All in all a great place. I'm looking forward to trying more of the varied menu and appealing wine list when I branch back off fish and chicken.
