Had lunch at Royal Kebab (I think, don't remember exact name) on Jericho just West of New York Avenue. Interesting menu, lots of kebab offerings not usually found in standard Indian menu.
I had a Behari Kebab with rice. Menu indicates it is shredded beef marinated in mustard oil and garlic and charcoal grilled. It was very good, if a little too salty to be excellent. The beef was sort of chunky, but worked over. It had been marinated for quite some time, because the outer surface of the meat had started to get a little mushy. I didn't see this as a negative, because it added different textures to eating the meat. Also, the meat was still a bit crusty and charry, which was good.
It wasn't cheap -- the Kebab platter was $8 (at Sunshine on Northern Boulevard off the BQE, I can get a pair of Kebabs for $3). Nevertheless, definitely planning to go back.
