Not your usual Indian affair. In fact, the food took me on a mini world tour with stops in Thailand, Burma, China, Greece and eventually India but only by way of the naan.
What this translates to is dissapointment if you are actually wanting good Indian food. OK, there were overtones of Goa in the form of coconut and basic spices, but the pervasive flavours were not what you would call Indian food.
With Tarka just round the corner in Brodie and the relatively new Pakwan on William Cannon, I don't see this place lasting too long.
To be fair, the quality of the ingredients and care of presentation were very decent but it just was not Indian. Pakwan range of menu is limited, service is awkward and a bit pricey, but they have some decently Indian dishes and we all know Tarka is a go-to place for a quick fix.
Seemed like cheery chappies running the place (maybe that is why the music was techno-dance), but missed the mark in my opinion.
Fingers crossed things get better.
