As I am always interested in finding new and good food in Brooklyn, I followed the advice of an earlier posting on inspired brunch in Brooklyn. The chowhounder recommended Rosewater in Park Slope and I'd like to wholeheartedly agree with him!
I went there today with a friend and had a great time. The atmosphere is great- beautiful tiles on the walls, huge windows to let in the light, exposed brick, and the staff was super friendly and nice. The food was amazing. As the previous chowhounder mentioned, for brunch it's a $10 prix fixe deal, which includes entree and drink. Bread and other sides are extra, but so worth it. I had a hard time deciding on what to choose, but settled on a swiss chard/feta/olive fritatta (which was more like an omelette)which came with roasted potatoes (white and sweet) grilled cornbread and homemade ketchup. My friend got the vegetarian plate which is bulgur and lentils with harissa. I would definitely go back for brunch and am very excited to try their dinner menu. All I have to say is that I was very happy after eating at Rosewater. Much success to them!
