A friend of mine is off to Rome in a week and has offered to schlep back to me the best Italian coffee beans in the world, Sant' Eustachio.
Cafe Sant Eustachio - Piazza Sant Eustachio, 82 (Pantheon) was established in the 1940's; it's my favorite coffee in the Rome. In my opinion, the best cappuccino, machiato, and caffe (espresso), I've ever tasted.
Via their website it appears that a kilo is US$35...I think I paid half that as a walk in retail price.
I was wondering if anyone had an idea what a kilo o' beans might be in Italy.
I know I should call but thought I'd ask here first before placing a transatlantic call.
