I'm planning a romantic anniversary dinner and I'm thinking Italian - hubby's not too adventurous. I'm looking for a place with good food and a traditional romantic atmosphere - dim/candle-lit, cozy not trendy. The most we can afford is $100-125 plus tips and taxes - we're not big drinkers so we'll probably just have a glass of wine each or split a 1/2 litre. Downtown, midtown or uptown is fine. I've been leaning towards Sotto Sotto as it seems to fit the bill when I went to their website. It looks like Noce and Via Allegra are popular but do they have the romantic atmosphere I'm looking for and are they within our budget? Any other recommendations? Thanks!
