What was Roman Meal Cereal??

toodie jane | Apr 28, 200601:12 AM     31

I used to make a killer banana bread from a recipe on the box of Roman Meal Cereal. I still have the recipe, but unfortunately RMC is no longer available.

It made the best chewy, whole-grain textured banana bread. I've searched the cereal aisle in vain at every supermarket for a substitue ceareal, and tried a few, but to no avail.

Does anyone remember what RMC was made from, or know of a sutitable substitute? I've tried adding wheat bren and germ to whole wheat flour, but it's not the same. Carb Lover's BB post has fired me up to continue my search.

Hounds, can you help?
