This is a restaurant I've been wanting to try for some time now and finally did this past weekend.
I had the blueberry pancakes w/bacon and eggs and was not disappointed at all. The portion of pancakes were huge and I was happy to find lots of blueberries cooked into the pancake as well as sprinkled all around. They were also very light and fluffy which is the way i like my pancakes.
My SO had the steak and eggs special which he enjoyed as well. In fact, we liked the place so much that we came back for lunch the following day! This time I had the grilled cheese sandwich (jack cheese on rye)--very buttery and crisp; he had the patty melt--in need of a little more flavoring but still pretty decent and a good size. We had these w/a bowl of their homemade vegetable soup which was very tasty and filling and a side of fries and onion rings.
I love Rod's for the nostalgia and the homey-ness. The servers are all real nice too. I highly recommend this place.
